What We Do and How We Do It

High Volume Remortgage Team

We work very closely with a number of mainstream and high street lenders and consistently rank very highly in the UK for our speed and effectiveness of the service we deliver to the bank’s customers.

Private Remortgage

We work with over 60 high street lenders and have developed a close working relationship with mortgage brokers. We actively seek ways to engage with the broker community in order to improve the service offering to our mutual clients.

Sale and Purchase

We have built strong relationships with local and national Estate Agents, mortgage brokers and mainstream lenders who utilise the Sale and Purchase department. The Sale and Purchase process is a longer and more complex transaction than a fees assist or a private remortgage and demands a greater level of legal expertise.

Our Conveyancers are supported by the Support team who work closely together to keep our Sale and Purchase clients updated and informed throughout the process.

Lexcel

We are proud to have been awarded the Lexcel Accreditation – the Law Society’s legal practice quality mark for excellence in legal practice management and excellence in legal client care.

The Lexcel accreditation, which is independently assessed, provides us with a framework to help us continually develop and improve our Customer Experience and demonstrates our commitment to ensuring we do everything to the letter of the law.

CQS

The Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS) provides a recognised quality standard for residential conveyancing practices ensuring that we maintain the high level of management standards expected by the scheme.

Our CQS accreditation, alongside our Lexcel accreditation, further demonstrates our commitment to delivering the highest standard of conveyancing services to our customers.

With a focus on building a community of members to work together to deter fraudsters and drive up the quality of conveyancing services, GPL’s membership of the scheme is a natural fit with our desire to ever improve our service offering.

The Conveyancing Association

GPL are members of The Conveyancing Association –  a non-profit making body representing conveyancing operations throughout the UK. The Conveyancing Association exist in order to help shape the future of conveyancing. As we believe in continual learning and improvement, being a member of The Conveyancing Association provides us with an environment to share ideas, learnings and best practice with other professionals within our industry.

ISO Accreditations

GPL hold ISO 9001:2008 which is the standard for process management. Strong processes are key to the success of our business as they enable us to work from a foundation enabling us to bend to individual customer requirements.

ISO 27001 is an accreditation that demands that we manage the security of assets such as financial information, intellectual property and employee details and includes our people, processes and IT systems.

GPL are privy to an enormous amount of sensitive personal information. It is imperative that we hold this information securely, to protect our customers and partners.

Staff Training

All GPL team members undergo a thorough induction programme that takes new joiners through our strategy, working practices and company values.

Our values are the basis of our performance management approach and demonstration of our company values, throughout a team members employment at GPL is how we reward and recognise the contribution each person makes to delivering an excellent Customer Experience.

Our induction programme includes shadowing in all departments to ensure our new team members have a good understanding of the customer journey and the input each of our colleagues make.

The ongoing training plan covers both legal training and customer experience modules to properly equip our team with the right skills and expertise.
