During the 35 years plus as a solicitor I have undertaken many varied roles including Managing Partner of a legal practice, Director and Chairman of LawNet, President of Eurojuris and founder Director and Chairman of Slough Business Community Partnership. During this period I have worked with many talented people for which I am very grateful.
My term as Managing Director of Gordons Property Lawyers has itself been a rewarding and enjoyable experience but from a different perspective. I am fortunate to work with younger people who are extremely hardworking and committed to our business in a way that is truly inspiring to me and to our clients and customers.
I am married to a solicitor with two grown up sons both of whom work in a legal environment. I am a keen skier, golfer and a lifelong Spurs fan – out of the three I am not sure which I find most challenging.
I started at Gordons in 2005 as the Management Accountant. The Legal sector was a new industry for me having come from blue chip manufacturing and facilities organisations. Over the years, I have built the department, and implemented numerous process improvements.
In my spare time, I enjoy long dog walks, live music, going to the gym and the odd glass of prosecco!
I began my life at Gordons Property Lawyers Ltd in 2001 as the accounts office junior. After a lot of hard work and perseverance I gained the role of Team Leader in 2005.
More recently I have been appointed Business Analyst which suits my particular skill set.
In my own time, I like to keep fit through various different sports including golf and running.
For many years I’ve enjoyed clay pigeon shooting. I have competed at an international level by representing England on several occasions. Although I no longer compete I still enjoy taking part socially.
With almost 20 years working in the legal sector, I joined GPL in 2014 as PA to Paul, our MD. I work very closely with the management team, generally whipping them into shape, organising their lives and getting stuff done! Most recently, I have taken on more HR Management which is something that I am very interested in and keeps me on my toes. I am looking forward to all the exciting changes that are coming to GPL.
I love my holidays but I love my grandsons more. I travel to America often to see my daughter who moved there 7 years ago.
You can keep your skiing holidays, give me a beach and a cocktail and I am a happy girl!
